Tuition & Financial Support

Tuition

Students of Master in Economic Research do not pay any tuition for the Czech-language program. The tuition fee for the English-language program is 8,000 EUR / academic year payable before the beginning of the academic year (by 30 September at the latest).

Competitive Scholarships

We are able to award a number of competitive scholarships that cover some or all of the tuition fees.

Comprehensive Medical Insurance

All students from NON-EU countries are required to have special insurance coverage for medical expenses while in the Czech Republic. CERGE-EI covers the Comprehensive Medical Insurance for full-time 1^st and 2^nd year students. Comprehensive Medical Insurance meets the Czech residence permit requirements.

Counselling Services

The university will reimburse 100% of the first session in the month, 2/3 of the second one and 1/3 of the third session in the same month. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to you for the sessions in one month is CZK 3,000 CZK. Students will pay for each session at independent center providing counselling and therapy (https://terap.io/) and then will be reimbursed by CERGE-EI after bringing the receipt to the Study Affairs Office. 

Accommodation stipend

As full-time Charles University students, some of our MA students are eligible to apply for the Charles University accommodation stipend to cover part of their living expenses.
