IT SPECIALIST
Both experienced and beginner specialists are welcome. The prerequisite is an active interest in IT, a will to develop professionally and the ability to bring and implement new ideas.
We are a small team, where each individual is responsible for his/her primary agenda. However, it is also necessary to occasionally cover for colleagues and be ready to complement and collaborate with each other.
Requirements:
- High school/university education in a technical field (graduates are welcome).
- Ability to communicate with users in English (written and oral).
- General overview of IT.
- Knowledge of MS Windows 10 and 11, knowledge of Apple Mac environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of network environment, office software.
- Communication skills, independence, reliability.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, at least some of the following areas will be appreciated:
- Administration and development of the Apple Mac environment and all related issues;
- IT security agenda and general computer networks administration, backup agenda;
- Administration and development of Windows Server and Active Directory environments and related applications;
- Development of small support applications or scripts primarily related to infrastructure agendas.
Job Description:
- Responsibility for the administration of the computer network (primarily Windows 10 and 11, minority Apple Mac), printers, network devices, WiFi, VoIP, classrooms equipment.
- Installation and configuration of computers, user applications and related activities, regular user support and training.
- Participation in the administration of selected managing applications (antivirus, printing system, cameras, access control system, license servers, asset management, etc.) and partly in the administration of Windows servers.
- Communication with suppliers in the purchase of hardware, software and licenses.
- Responsibility for maintaining computer equipment property records.
- Collaboration on IT infrastructure development projects, cooperation on internal documentation and knowledgebase improvements.

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT OFFICE AT CERGE-EI
CERGE-EI is looking for a colleague for the newly created position of Head of Development Office.
Brief description of the position:
The Head of Development Office is responsible for the long-term strategy for working with GERGE-EI´s individual donors, corporate partners and foundation donors. She or he builds and leads the emerging Development Office (comprising two people to start with) and is accountable to the CERGE-EI Director for meeting established fundraising goals. She or he can enthuse in face-to-face meetings with donors, as well as handle mass communications for small donor campaigns and contact databases. The Head of Development Office is responsible for creating a donor portfolio (people, companies, foundations) that will secure donations totaling USD 1,000,000 / CZK 23,000,000 for CERGE-EI over the next three years.
Core RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and evaluate CERGE-EI's fundraising and sponsorship strategy that is aligned with CERGE-EI's strategic direction;
- Set annual fundraising and sponsorship targets in line with CERGE-EI´s long-term financial development plan;
- Manage the CERGE-EI Development Office team, its development and growth; develop the competencies of individual team members;
- Prepare the annual financial plan for the Development Office;
- Actively cooperate with partner foundations – CERGE-EI Foundation in the USA and Nadace CERGE-EI in the Czech Republic;
- Set up and implement a donor and corporate partner care system;
- Actively fundraise, i.e. work with a portfolio of major donors and supporters through all phases of the process: identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
- Develop a database of prospects and current contacts as a tool for tracking and evaluating the "pipeline" of potential donors;
- Provide strategic leadership and implement CERGE-EI campaigns and fundraising events.
Who we are looking for:
An experienced, mature personality who is not afraid of big goals and who:
- has the desire to develop relationships with donors, including important business people and influencers;
- can lead a philanthropic conversation and develop personal relationships, has the courage and assertiveness to steer a donor prospect towards a donation;
- has previous experience in managing the fundraising agenda (significant advantage);
- has experience in leading a team; knows how to develop the competencies of his/her team and delegate responsibilities;
- is able to manage financial budgets, is proficient in MS Excel and has previous experience with contact and relationships managements systems;
- has a master's degree;
- has excellent spoken and written communication skills in Czech and English;
- is disciplined, patient and insightful;
- takes responsibility and likes to learn new things;
- is a team player, a balanced personality with drive and a pleasure to work with.

We are looking for a colleague for the position of HR specialist in the Human Resources Department responsible for personnel administration.
Job description:
- preparation of labor law documents, ensuring their signatures by authorized persons, their registration;
- keeping personal files of employees in accordance with applicable legislation;
- communication with the labor office and other institutions in the labor law area, fulfilling obligations within the framework of the employment of foreign workers agenda;
- keeping records of employee attendance, including vacation use, occupational medical examination agenda and administration of employee benefits;
- cooperation with the payroll accountant, timely and correct submission of documents necessary for correct payroll settlement;
- cooperation with managers in recruiting new employees and changing the contractual conditions of existing employees;
- reporting – submission of updates/changes regarding the entire employee life cycle to the affected departments, updating the personnel IS;
- cooperation with the business trip administrator;
Requirements:
- at least secondary education with a high school diploma
- experience in personnel administration for at least 1 year
- knowledge of EGJE or another personnel and payroll program
- positive approach to work, flexibility, willingness to learn
- analytical and systematic thinking, diligence, emphasis on detail
- basic knowledge of English
- excellent communication skills and user knowledge of Microsoft Office
- ability to work independently and in a team
